Miguel Hernández
In 2002, he began working during his college years in a philanthropic foundation “Soñar Despierto”, contributing in fundraising and sponsorship activities, which helped Mexico’s chapter to raise the highest amount of donations. After graduating, he was certain he would develop his professional career in PR.
Miguel joined DEXTERA Comunicaciones agency in 2003, where he was responsible of coordinating media relations and PR activities for different consumer product accounts, such as Unilever’s "Turn on your brightness with Sedal", a consumer oriented event for its hair products, and with corporate projects as the authentication and verification of alcoholic beverages workshop.
He then moved to Estrategia Total, a local PR firm, and collaborated from 2005 to 2008 in corporate communications projects and programs accounts for AgroBio, Monsanto, MRP, Grupo Bimbo, ProBosque Chapultepec Foundation; designing and coordinating events for the industry and the national political arena as well as various public relations activities, highlighting his participation in key events such as the agreement for corn protection, among others. He also acquired great knowledge on managing critical issues in agriculture and biotechnology fields.
In April 2008, Miguel joins MassIdeas Public Relations consultancy as account executive for the Tourism business unit and is collaborating with clients such as Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Accor Hospitality and El Jolgorio Cibeles® Restaurant, among others.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Miguel is a Marketing and Advertising graduate from the Universidad Latina, and was awarded with several acknowledgements for his creativity and design skills. He has also taken diplomas in corporate image design and Mexican cinematography.
